Play the game in 4:3. It results in a higher FOV as the game increases it to make sure you can see the same as a 16:9 player. While this is to ensure no-one is at a disadvantage, it actually just feels better gameplay-wise overall. Lots of high rank players run the game like this.

Its really annoying how the arms start to glitch out when someone changes the viewmodel fov. By default its way too close to the view. While its fine with most models, coaches model glitches instantly once its changed from the default. There isn't, neither do I like this FOV. You can't change the fov in the Console screen because the server needs "sv_cheats" at 1. And No More Room in Hell doesn't have editable files like (for instance) Dishonored has. So, guess we have to stick with this field of view untill we have a Command for the Console screen that can change it
